Refill · Coffee · Craft · Victoria Road

Giddy Arts.

Three things under one small Victoria Road roof: a plastic-free refill shop, a speciality coffee bar (beans roasted by Jolly Bean), and a curated gallery of work from independent makers.

The shop

Giddy Arts is unusual in that it makes three ideas work in the same room without feeling like any of them has been wedged in. The refill station is the quiet, practical bit — bring your own jars, weigh, pay. The coffee bar runs on Jolly Bean beans roasted in-house. The gallery wall rotates with work from artists and makers the owners personally back. It's a considered small shop, not a lifestyle concept.

Supporting independent makers. Buy less, buy better.

01 · Three pillars

One room, three reasons to come.

Giddy makes three ideas work in one small Victoria Road shop without any of them feeling tacked on.

01 · Refill

Plastic-free pay-as-you-weigh.

Pay-as-you-weigh wholefoods and cupboard essentials, plus liquid refills for cleaning and personal care. Bring your own containers — staff will weigh and fill for you if you'd rather not do it yourself.

02 · Coffee

Jolly Bean, roasted in-house.

Giddy run their own small-batch roastery (Jolly Bean). Takeaway and sit-in coffee, bakes on the counter, plus retail bags of fresh beans. Good for a quiet flat-white break between shops.

03 · Gallery

Work from makers they actually know.

A curated wall of home wares, jewellery, prints and art from independent UK makers. The maker list rotates. Not currently accepting new maker submissions.

02 · What to expect

Small room, considered curation.

It's a shop that rewards the second visit — once you know what's in the bins and who's on the wall.

Best for

  • A refill run that fits around a coffee break
  • A gift you didn't plan to buy (prints, small ceramics, jewellery)
  • A small, quiet seat on Victoria Road mid-morning
  • Buying beans from a roaster whose counter you can see

Good to know

  • The room is small — busy on Saturdays, quieter on weekday mornings.
  • Refill prices are by weight. Bring clean jars; they'll tare for you.
  • If you're browsing the gallery, take your time — the curation is the reason to come.
